C.zygatus Sexing

I have three C.Zygatus, I'm not sure on their sex, I have an idea but I'm not going to cast my view, but I'd like to see what you think.

well at least I should have a chance at breeding these then, once I've raised my Trilineatus fry I will give it ago, unless it happens before without any intervention

Same here. The one in the middle definitely looks bigger and more robust like a female.

Hi §tudz

This is not the easiest species to tell apart. Can you see any difference between their ventral fins when you look at them from the bottom? The female's will be bigger and rounder than the male's.

also may be easier to sex them once they have been conditioned to spawn.. ie.. feed them heavily for a few weeks on some high protien food several times a day.. good one are frozen bloodworms.
