I'm happy to be able to introduce some of the newest additions to my corys collection, the C. aeneus sp. Gold Shoulders.

Here they are when they arrived a little over a week ago:

Here's another:

I've delayed posting about these interesting corys in the hope that I might be able to get some more pictures of them. but so far I've had very little luck. :look: These are the best I could do, and it doesn't do them justice at all.

Here's one of the females;

And here's a pic of three of them in a row:

The stripe on them resembles that of the orange laser corys but is a pale cream color and is not as bright. Nevertheless, this is an interesting variation of the more common C. aeneus.

I thought some of the members might like to see them now because they are being offered again on AquaBid and this it's an opportunity to get some unusual corys at (if you are lucky :D ) a reasonable cost.

What do you think of them?

hmmm, different. I like them.
I myself have just got some C.aeneus "peru"

I like them the orange ones are cute they are nice looking cories.. Inchworm they are pretty . I love cories..

I was checking them out last night before I left for work, they look really nice. But, no more new cory types until "Cory Quest" is completed! I've given up on finding a few more Schwartzi's locally and ordered some off the web this morning. Once they get here though I have to choose my next species. I had it narrowed down to either one of the lasers or trying Adolfois again but these guys look awfully nice to. Darn you Inchworm!!!

Bah!! That evil doctor inchworm has added another variety of cories to her ever-growing collection.  One day inchworm...oneday.... Lol only joking lovely cories, hopefully one day i can have as many as you or more :p How many tanks do you have which hold all your cories?

They're adorable. I'm setting up a cory tank soon. I'm not sure how many or of what kind I'm getting though. But I'm very excited.

They are very beautiful indeed ! :hey:
Isn't it just too frustrating when pics don't do them justice ? I know the feeling - as many of us do I'm sure
But they are lovely

Hi Polardbear :)

I'm glad to see that you are still so excited about getting your corys together.

I know how hard it is to make choices; there are just so many different corys and each is wonderful in its own way. You'll surely be happy with whichever ones you choose. :D

How big do they get?

Hi jollysue :)

They are color variations of the C. aeneus. The bronze ones get to be around 3", so I think they will grow to be the same or a little smaller. :D

How many tanks do you have which hold all your cories?

Hi Siamese Fighter05 :)

Right now I have 3 55 gallon tanks, 3 30 gal. l, 1 29 gal., 3 20 gal., and 5 10 gal. tanks running. They all have corys, but there are a few gouramis and other fish in a few of them as well. :D
