Two questions really:

1: What are the main advantages of potted versus non potted? More roots I'm guessing, but is it really worth double the price, especially since I'm getting hardy stuff like crypts, vallis, pennywort?

2: Is UPS 2nd Day air suitable for these hardy/fast growing/root feeding plants I'm getting? aquariumplants.com says "ok for plants, but not guaranteed" - should I take the chance, the next shipping jump is +$15

Thanks,

If you're getting crypts, vallis and pennywort then by all means go for unpotted. The only time I would get potted plants is if the plant in question is a carpeting plant (ie. microsword). I've ordered from Aquariumplants twice using the 2nd day delivery. All plants arrived ok with the exception of an ech. sword (some melted leaves here and there). But then again, that sword variety's really fragile, so... :dunno:

yah, that shipping is crazy expenive, almost more than I'm buying the plants for alone.
