Want to buy a Fish Tank but i need to know what size to get - as i want a good sized one but not too big. I also need to know how much i should have to pay for the size- so not 2 get ripped off

the rule is - as big as you can. the bigger the tank the more possibilities of fish and the less you have to do water changes.

otherwise you will be like me and kick yourself later for getting something thats too small with only four fish in it.

as far as how much, i'm not sure where you live so a good idea may be to check ebay or your equivilant of the tradingpost. in my area they have lots of fairly cheap fishtanks.

Yup. It really comes down to 2 things, budget and space.

Do you have a spot picked out for the tank?

Do you have a spending limit for the entire setup?

Within those two factors, get the biggest tank you can. Bigger tanks tend to be more stable and forgiving of mistakes than smaller tanks. Not to mention your stocking options obviously increase with tank size.

Do you have any idea what fish would you want to keep?
