i went to get bolivian rams... they had none... they had blue rams, german rams, and gold rams... i heard the german rams werent as hardy as bolivians and i heard bolivians were easier to breed..... so i didnt buy any... i did tho see butterfly rams... they werent that exciting looking but they were cheaper lol.. anyone know if these are easy to breed? if they are hardy?

thanks

i was under the impression butterfly rams where just another name for bolivian rams, just as ruby crown cichlids were.

yea... tons of diff names for rams... well anyways... i already bought a pair of kribs for the 10...... but the weird thing is... im not sure if both are males.. in the store one of them was really red in the stomach and looked female for sure... when i put them in tank they were both without colors... and slowly they both got pink tummies... one had more pink than the other and they were playin with each other so i assume she still is a she lol

Hi,

The male has got a spade shaped tail and doesn't posses much of a pink belly like the female.

Hope this helps.
