The pics not the best quality.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Does your tank have a heater guard.
Any redness to the boils.
Any signs of darting, erratic swimming, excess mucas, flicking and rubbing, laboured breathing.Any boils beneath the skin.
Any fluffy cotton wool on the fish or tiny white spots.

As Wilder mentions, heater burns are a good possibility. Synodontis rest pressing their bodies against solid objects, and sometimes they do this using heaters. As with catfish generally, a heater guard is essential, or failing that, place the heater outside the tank completely (e.g., in the sump or as an inline heater that fits to the pipes to or from a canister filter).

Heater burns heal quite quickly, but they are potential sites for secondary infections, so keep an eye open for finrot and/or fungus, and act accordingly. Since catfish are frequently sensitive to copper- and formalin-based medications, take care when selecting medications.

Cheers, Neale

its heater indeed. i have fixed an heater cover.

poor cat fishes. hopefully they will get better.

i have them for 8/9 months... why now?

Just keep an eye on the boil to make sure there no signs of infection.
Good Luck.

Does your temp drop more than two degree at night with the cold weather.
Check tank temp when there no heating on.
If there a big drop maybe turn heater up abit so the temp drop not dropping by more than two degrees.
I tank temp shouldn't really drop more than two degree's either way.
He might be snuggling up to the heater due to the temp dropping more than usual.
