I just got six Burmese Danios. The shop said they are very hard to find. I tried to find information online about them, but there were only a couple of mentions, including that they don't have a scientific name yet because they are so new. I can't get a decent picture of them yet, or else I would post that. Has anyone heard of these and have some information about them? Some sites say they are a mix of blue and gold danios, others say they are newly discovered from the wild. They are very beautiful though! The one photo I could find online wasn't worth linking because they look grey but they are actually very colourful!

There are some very nice new danios available now. What's nice is that they all seem pretty hardy, and most are inexpensive and easy to keep. A lot of them come from Myanmar (Burma) so calling them "Burmese Danios" doesn't really help much.

Anyway, the site for you is this one:

Look around in the "new" danios section, and you'll probably find your new beasties.

Cheers,

Neale

I think this is the fish you are looking for.

According to my spies you got them at Wholesale Tropicals for £1.50 each :hey:

Oops! Neither of those links worked! Anyway, when I Google Burmese Danios, the description it comes up with sounds accurate, I think... They are so fast that I haven't gotten a very good look at them yet!
