hello. last night I wrote a panicky post cause My tank was leaking. I've not found after 24 hours of sitting it on the lounge floor full of water on newspaper that it is infact not leaking at all. :*)

My power filter's air pipes obviously ciphoned the 10L or so of water onto the carpet  . Obviously it's broken. I don't know what's broken, apparently something to do with the air pipe connection I think.

Anyway, does anyone know how to fix it. Why it leaks out the water etc.
I'd be really grateful so this doesn't happen again. It's the biggest pain in the butt ever and I thought all my fish would die!!
THankyou for any advice offered :D

What type of filter is it? You say "air pipes" but power filter. Normally, power filters do not have air pipes, and air operated filters are not power filters!!! Is it a canister on the floor, something that hangs on the top/side/back of the tank? Can you tell us what make and model it is?

By the way, there is no need to be embarrassed. When everything is wet, it is difficult to see where the water came from unless it is obviously squirting out somewhere.

It's an "AQUA ONE tornado power filter. PF-605 if that helps???? It's the black box thingy that sits in water. You pull in apart to clean. The bit where the water comes out in the tank is where the "air pipe" is attached. I don't knoe technical terms, sorry. It's the first time I've had this kind of filter before.
If you can help, it'd be really great!! :D
