I have 2 borneo suckers (look like small plecos or are small plecos), anyhow, one of them I have just noticed have a pretty large bump on it. To sum it up simply, this bump looks like a big old zit on a fish. The bump looked practically hollow in a sence. Looks like you could take a pin and pop the inflated area. It also has the beginning of this bumping on the other side of its body in the same area. This fish is only 1.5 inches or less. The bump is approx. 1/4 inch but looks quite large on this fish. All other fish in the tank are fine and have been fine for quite some time. It almost looks like a bloating of some sort and is close to the tail end of the fish if that matters. If anyone recognizes what this may be and how I might fix this problem, I would appreciate the information. I am interested in what this ailment might be and a resolution on how to make him a hopefully healthy fish once again. Thanks.

Gas bubble disease,perhaps?
Gas Bubble Disease
This is a form of embolism which can occur when there is a sudden dramatic increase in the oxygen content of the aquarium system. A fault in the filtering system outlet is a common cause for this to happen, when air is drawn into the water return duct and enters the aquarium in a super charged type of scenario. Sometimes the condition will right itself, but more often the damage is permanent.

I couldn't find much more but you may have better luck doing a search.

There was a similar question the other day
here
I hope this helps.

Well, the power went out here for at least 2 hours and later that day I did a water change since I was due for one. I use a python for water changes and do have an air pump along with an emperor 400 on this 20 gallon tank, so there is plenty of water movement for sure. Also, if this helps, the bumping has no discoloration yet, so no whitish or pinkish looking areas. I was thinking some kind of constipation or cancer to begin with. Thought of the constipation since it is at that end. Not familiar with fish getting sick this way however. If others have thoughts, please share and I will keep an eye on him.
