Hi All,

A while back I was at the lfs and I saw Bumblebee. I am not sure how his tail got cut, but tailless he was. The lfs was taking very good care of him. They were giving him fresh water every day with salt and bettafix. Even still I had to take him home cause he was so beautiful. It has been almost one month since I brought Bumblebee home. Here is his progress.

Sorry to drag up an old post. I wanted to show Bumblebee off a little. Here are some new pics of my beautiful boy. I have noticed his rays are growing faster than the rest of his tail. Is that normal?

Anyway, here he is in all his glory

Now here he is flaring away at Black Beauty

I must say, I am amazed at how fast his tail has grown. At first I thought that it was actually deteriorating more so I took the picture to compare. It has grown a cm or two since May 16.

Here is another pic, you can see the irridescent blue in his fins

I never knew he had that irridescent in his fins. I can't see it unless I put a light over him.

How did you do that? My Betta, Apollo, has had tail rot and now we have to see if he can regrow his tail--he is missing a third of it and I worry that he could be losing some more--although a lot more slowly than it did at the outset. LMK about the treatment you used. Thanks!

I didn't do anything actually. I change his water every three days or so. At first I added a little bettafix, but I didn't notice any new growth. Then I just left it and it grew back. I don't think he had fin rot, but I could be wrong. I notice his caudal fin(the one on the bottom, is that what it is called?), anyway, that has a lot of new growth too. So does his dorsal fin. I did add a little bit of melafix last time I did a water change. I noticed a lot of new growth since then.
