Bumblebee Pleco

I purchased a clown pleco from the LFS today and noticed a pleco I have never seen before! The tag says bumble bee pleco and the employee told me they get 8". I searched up and down far and near for any info on a bumble bee pleco and cannot even find the words used together. The closest pleco I could find on the web that highly resembles it is the butterfly pleco. Are they commonly confused? Am I way off base? I read that butterfly plecos can reach 5". Could it be that the guy the LFS buys from just doesn't know what type of fish it is? Help?

although i would be surprised, no registered keepers on PC would indicate its an uncommon export.

Way off...The only picture I can find that closely resembles it is this one.

The only difference is the pleco being sold as a bumblebee doesn't have gold stripes, they're butterscotch! The stripes also are not broken... they are solid and thick.

Nah it doesn't look like that... The stripes on it are each independent the black part of the skin is much darker making the stipes awesome looking!

It's an amazing looking pleco! I'm going down there to buy it tommorow (payday!). I hoping and praying that no one buys this guy... I have never seen one there and not sure I will again! Pic should be uploaded tommorow or saturday.

Nope, it has many more stripes and there butterscotch not gold.

umm nope - Thats safe to assume that the store, or the company they got it from, made it up
