I recently purchased a total of 5 bumblebee gobbies and placed them in a 10 gallon tank. I'm in the process of converting it from a freshwater to brackish environment by incrementally increasing the salinity. So far, all is good. They seem to be swiming constantly at all levels of the tank.

Environment...fresh to brackish conversion
To buffer the tank's water, but also to create a typical environment with plenty of territory, i've added a hunk of coral and plenty of local sea shells along with the driftwood already there. Take a look at the picture here:

Feeding frozen...
I've been feeding them frozen daphnia and brine shrimp, and they seem to like both. I also have frozen tubifex worms, but have not yet tried these. I've read in several areas that i should also be trying to give them live food. Beyond my childhood sea-monkey days, i have no idea where to get live food. Any ideas on general feeding? ... and what about obtaining live food? Is it really vital, or is the frozen sufficient nutrition?

Suggestions, etc.. ?
Any suggestions, criticisms, feedback ?
Anything i should be doing? shouldn't be doing?

That is perfect. They'll be breeding in no time!

You may want to purchase a sponge pre-filter for your filter. It will keep the tiny fish off the intake, and also increases the efficiency of the sysytem exponentially.

ATI Hydro-sponge makes a great one for only a few bucks. This is their '40 gallon' model from Kensfish.com

Good luck!

is it a good idea to keep shells in there? i remember reading that it changes the water but i don't recall how. also, for live food, we've set up a barrel of stagnant water where mosquito larvae then grow. we just feed them to the fish before they develop into mosquitos.
