Bumblebee Gobies

I have posted a topic in tropical Discussion about bolivan rams and Bumblebee gobies and pitbull pleco.

I wondered if anyone knew if these would be compatible.

In theory should be fine.

However, with BBGs, while they certainly do not need salt, I'd always recommend they'd be kept in tanks where that would be an option -- i.e., with livebearers, rainbowfish, killifish, etc. BBGs are very difficult to identify, and some species do seem to be less tolerant of freshwater conditions than others.

I'd also recommend against keeping them in soft/acid conditions -- in my experience they just don't do all that well, even those some BBGs at least inhabit blackwater streams in the wild! In captivity, BBGs do best in either brackish water or in moderately to very hard, basic water. This isn't precisely what Parotocinclus sp. and Mikrogeophagus altispinosus wants.

Hmm thanks very insightful, My water is rather hard, My set up i was thinking of

2 Bolivian Rams
6 BBG
1 Pitbull Plec

Well Ill try this set up, and I have another 60L if its salt I need then I can mix it up a bit and stick them in with my live beares, thanks on the info
