what should i feed him on? at the mo im feeding my corys and plec on alge waffers

guy in shop (just got him today) said bumble bee would eat these too???? sound right to you guys?

I dought it, but feed him on meaty foods like bloodworm and prawns. I always recomend feeding prawns to more carnivous fish. Just thaw them out and hand feed him. This will stop the other fish getting a share. Do you know its scientific name? There are a few species called Bumble Bee cats, and some may prefer different foods to others.
Hope this helps, Max

he's a microglanis poecilus.....very handsome he is too

When i kept a microglanis, he ate whenever I wasn't looking. I fed with a variety of foods, and I kept him for some time, but I couldn't tell you what he ate.

he's got quiet a bulging belly this morning so i'd say he has eaten some of the catfish waffer i dropped in lastnight

will get some prawns on the way home tonight :)

cheers

---------------update--------------

i got some prawns on way home from work, cut a piece off about the size of mt fingernail on my little finger

i slices some lines into it thinking "he'l rip at it and tear bits off"

ohhhh noooo gready little bugger shot out and managed to get the whole lot in his mouth just as i let go of it!!!!!

he has a belly like a barrel now!!!!

i wont be giving him as much next time ;)

cheers

how often should i feed this gannet of a fish?

:)

judging by the bulge in his stomach i'll be feeding him once every 3 days?

Yeh, thats how much I feed my predators and it does then fine. One good size prawn every couple of days will do him fine, maby two every 3 days when hes fully grown.
Despite what the fish says, this is the best way to feed him!

Yeah my Bumblebee now dwells alone in a tank, so he can be fed adequatly. I feed catfish pellets and things like prawn, blood worms etc. as treats. I also suggest getting some malaysian trumpet snails, as he doesn't bother/cant eat these, and they help eaat anything he doesnt get etc.
