Bulb Advice

Hi All,

Have searched the forum, but can't find a similar post.....

I have an Interpet fish box which uses 15w Bright Day White bulbs (if you google "15w Bright Day White" the shopping results show the exact bulb).

The questions is; can I replace a burnt out Interpet bulb with a standard 15w low energy bulb with the same screw cap fitting?

Reason for asking is that I'm broke at the moment and an Interpet branded bulb is about £10 while I can get a standard bulb for £1 at B&Q.

Yes, you can use standard hardware store tubes.

Yes. A lot of people are changing to non-branded bulbs because they tend to be the same or better than branded aquarium ones and are a fraction of the price.
