I'm thinking about building a custom tank for a specific space. Anyone done this or have plans to do it? The tank I want to build is 36"L x 15"W x 12"D. It would hold about 28 gallons. By my calculations I'll need to have the glass panels cut as below. I'll use 1/4" high clarity glass and I'll have the pieces cut by a professional to ensure exact measurements. Does this seem correct for a build where the side panels are adhered to the edges of the base (as opposed to sitting on top of the base glass).

36" x 15" base panel
36 1/2" x 12" (x2) front and back panels
15" x 12" (x2) side panels

I'd love to know any tips or tricks from people who have attempted a project like this themselves.

Clearseal do a 36x12x12.
I really struggled to find a similar size in the UK but eventually managed.
May be different in the US but when I looked at online prices for glass cut to size (can't get out to shops at the mo ;)) I could not build one for the price they are selling for.

I am considering building my own tank for a certain place in the future :) not 100% sure tho
