Im looking at starting to dig out my pond. Im digging it out to be 4mx3m and about 1m deep or roughly 13ftx10ft and 3.5ft deep is this an ok depth or would people recommend something different. Now the thing that confuses me is what size pond liner I need or if a pond liner is the best way to go? Also would I need to filter the pond as im looking to keep some goldfish, tench, chubb, rudd etc etc things like that????

You don't need to filter the pond if you stock it very lightly with just fish like goldfish, but having filtration will increase the amount of fish the pond can safely hold and will help prevent the pond from becomming stagnent and de-oxygenated during the summer months.

The best way to go in my opinion is to go down the pond liner route, you'll need some special underlay fabric to help insulate the pond and then you need to put the rubber pond liner on top of that. Liner and underlay in general is less hassle to fit than digging holes for pre-made ponds, and is generally cheaper too, so i would personally advise it :good: .
