I tried feeding a spider I caught to my betta but his web wouldn't break and by the time it did the betta was bored and the Whiteclouds took care of it, but I was thinking ants would be ewasy to catch is this a good idea? fish love live foods :D

I'm not sure about ants... some of them produce chemicals which could be harmful to fish (example: fire ant sting)
I suspect the teeeeeny tiny black ants (we call them sugar ants) would be ok, as they are non-stinging :dunno:

I don't know about ants, but I feed my fish rather regularly on the few Mosquitos I can find around here, moths, spiders, and gnats (little tiny flying bugs usually accompanying plants). They LOVE it.

Mosquitos go down a treat! especially there smaler larval stage!
I tried ants with my tropicals and they didnt generate any interest what so ever.
Id stick to moths, mosquito larvae and middgies. Obviously ones that havnt been sprayed either!
