Pond/Bladder snail. Harmless to fish, will eat any excess fish food or dying plant matter. Will breed if given enough food, if you have found one I would be certain there is at least another in the tank. Population control can be done through manual removal or decreasing feeding. If you intend on breeding your fish they will also eat fish eggs.

If you have the slightest algae growth, they will breed even without food. :)

Pest snails... not my favorites. They are functional and harmless to the fish but as the name already insinuates, a real pest when they reproduce. I always rinse my new plants before I put them in one of my tanks. For eventhough there are no snails but if there are snails eggs on it, I'd still be dealing with them.
