Buffing Out Scratches In Tank Glass

An old way of removing scratches from glass was jewelers rouge don't know if it is still made, another compound was "Brasso" and a bit of elbow grease
or a dremel hand tool.
 
you need cerium oxide, polishing mops and a lot of time. probably easier to get the glass panel cut out and replaced. I've polished out scratches on car headlamp lenses where replacements arn't available and it takes hours and hours . . .
