ok so you set your tank up get it cycled monitor your stats ph,sg,temp,am,nitrite,nitrate everything is fine then the algea starts and your told to test for phosphate you add CUC get algea under control with help from rowaphos all is fine again you add your first fish add a couple more then you think mmmm corals
you add a few corals now its a whole new ball game whats your calcium,alk, mag more testing to be done then you need to dose your tank to get levels right
