so i acquired some Buenos Aires Tetras on a whim the other day... and then i recently tried cutting back on feedings b/c the fish were starting to look a bit chubby. now my apongetons are suddenly a lot shorter.

can anyone recommend some fast-growing tallish plants that the BATetras would leave alone?

Vallis!

My 3 BATs don't touch my vallis

oops... they are known as lawnmower tetras on some sites

We had a lovely group of 7 of them... the planted tank didnt do too well :(

We moved 3 into a different tanks and gave 4 to a friend.

The 3 are now in a big tank 100gal and leave out vallis alone the anubis nana and the java fern are safe too.

another question: has anyone lost their cryptocorynes to BATS? i've a small flock of gorgeous wendtii that i'd hate to lose...
