at the moment i have an external filter and the outlet is attached to a sprinkle bar which generates alot of bubbles. Now Ive been reading about the DIY c02 devices, but it says te much water displacement will effect how good the co2 works. So my question is shall I turn off my bubbles and just inject C02 for a better environment for the fish or would it be better leaving it how it is. Or do you have and other suggestions.

I have a 180 litre juwel tank, which only has 10 tetras (still cycling) and is planted.

I wouldn't worryabout gettin a CO2 kit unless your tank is heavily planted. The carbon dioxide in the air that the spraybar inject into the water, plus the tetra's breathing shuld be sufficient.
