Bubbles All Over The Tank

AHHHHHHHHH, Doing my nut in, i have bubbles and algea all over my tank, in the morning there is nothing, no bubbbles and no algae, and then during the day it builds up to the point where everything is covered. only happening since i replaced my T8's with T5's.
any advice guys, why is it happening.
Sorry its a 200ltr tank, 30kg of live rock, only trace chemicals in the tank, fish and invertabrates fine.

You are feeding ut with the extra light.

Cut the light cycle down.

You also have phosphates. If it tests zero its because the algae is feeding on it really quick. Add a phos remover.

Whats your feeding regime?
 
hi ben cheers for the reply, just had a chance to reply.

whats the ut you mention, have already cut down to five hours of light and that seems to have had a slowing effect, i will renew my rowaphos tomorrow. was feeding twice a day but dropped to once.

They are nitrogen bubbles imo - a normal part of tank life, in particular in a new tank :good:

Keep an eye out. Sometimes bubbles adherent to the rock are early signs of cyanobacteria. SH
 
i was thining the start of cyano too. especially with the big jump in light.

just slowly raise the lighting cycle too normal over a couple of weeks.
 
I also believe that nitrogen bubbles can be a pre-cursor to cyano, can also just be a natural part of the tanks development - increase flow to the area and follow Ben's thoughts about the lighting
