One of my new guys, Wedgie (because he likes to wedge himself in his rocks), made his very first bubble nest since he came to live with me last Friday. It's a pretty big one and it made me really happy. The only problem is...it's time for a water change. I don't want to destroy it! Will he be upset if I destroy it to change his water?

Here are some pics. I haven't been able to get any very good pics of him yet.

Here's the only one that I've got of him spreading his fins, but it's very dark and you can't see his pretty colors.

A terrible picture, but it shows his colors well.

And his pretty little nest.

Here are a couple of his brother, Scooter. (Named because he likes to scoot along the bottom of his tank.) He also started to make his own little bubble nest.

I'll get some better pics soon, hopefully.

So...should I clean the tank and destroy their work?

They are beautiful! Strange names, but they fit them perfectly. :)

Neither one is going to care if you destroy their bubblenests. It's just their excuse to build a new one.

Thanks guys! They're both in 1.5 gallon bowls for a couple of days while their tank is being redivided. They still seem happy, even without their little nests.
