hi

how do i get air into my tank thru my filter, without it moving the surface of the water?
as i would like to hopefully start breeding my bettas in the near future.

In most breeding tanks you would use either a sponge filter or plain airline tubing. Both connect to an aerator that just blows air and you adjust the speed to something like a bubble per second. This creates little to no surface disturbance but it supplies air to the fry who have yet to develop a labyrinth organ.
