bubble nest

about three days ago my betta started to build a bubble nest, it was about an inch long.
now it is a triangle shape in the corner of the tank, the two sides against the glass are about six inches long and it is nearing an inch in height, are they normally this big?
im not worried or anything just curious.

all depends they can be a few bubbles big to a whole tank big. All my betta males seem to be abit crap at making nests so far

It really depends on the fish, some will never blow a bubble in their life others will cover the surface daily, sounds like you have a builder on your hands

mines a pretty good builder. he built a nest which must have been over an inch high
i was very proud of him

lol, he must be a very good builder because it is still getting bigger. but the rate has slowed down because he just swims around most of the time showing off his fins, which i don't see veiltails do too often.
