bubble nest

:) you may be able to see tiny white dots amongst the bubbles. is the male really attentive? he may move them around himself.

Males tend to clean or eat eggs that have gone bad.

Have they already bred (I assume so)? Not sure how to see the eggs, but the way the male conducts himself is a telltale sign.

Did you not see the male and female breed and the male tank the eggs ??? if you have a gravel less bottom tank like you should you should be able to see them on hte bottom unless they are in the nest or eaten :(

If you shine a flashlight under the nest you can see eggs in the bubbles. How long has it been since they spawned?

hi all

i saw them sprawn yesterday mornin i can c tiny white things on the floor underthe nest could they b eggs but the male is totally ignorin the nest so i dont want him to eat the eggs so i was thinkin about takin him out would that b ok or would the eggs not servive???

thanx

The little fishies cannot survive by themselves :( The eggs may be bad, the male usually leaves them alone if he knows they won't hatch(how he knows, beats the hell out of me) Or sometimes he just plain throws his fins up and says to hell with you eggs! :D Anyway, if you take him out the eggs will definately not survive by themselves. If the eggs haven't hatched within about 3 1/2 days of their being 'laid'(bubble-nested?) then they're not gonna hatch. :( Sorry..
