bubble nest?????

What is a bubble nest? I've heard them mentioned on here, and im assuming the "cluster" of bubbles, that kinda looks like foam is a bubble nest. What does it mean and why does he do it

Males will build bubble nests when they're ready to breed. When breeding the female drops eggs and the male places them in his nest. But a regular "pet" betta will usually nest to show that he's content
