I have some bubble algae forming. It is really small at the moment so that is why I am acting now. Is bubble algae friend or foe; does it need removing??

Regards

Bubble algae is considered a nuisance algae. Overtime, it can slowly cover the LR. The flipside of this is that it is usually very slow to cause a problem. The advantage of removing it while small is that if the bubble bursts, it will most likely release a lot less spores than if it grows larger and bursts. I wouldn't worry too much about small singular valonia. You could try a mithrax crab, although, many here don't like them. I owned two in the past..they DID eat some...and they stayed small during my ownership but they CAN increase in size and become opportunistic. SH

Thanks SH. I may remove them tomorrow when I do my weekly clean.
Where have you been lately I haven't 'felt' your presents in the forum? Normally you are posting regularly, guiding people from common and destructive mistakes but the last few days you weren't here man :-( LOL.

Kindest regards. :good:

Hah..thanks CF...I do my best. I don't always post to EVERY thread...we have some really great nano-ers here, but, I lurk on a lot more than people think..just keeping an eye on our little community. :good: SH
