My nem spens all day (and all night) inflating to normal size for an hour then retracting into his whole for and hour - repeat!

i assumed he would saty inflated all the time apart from the odd bit of eating?

is this the norm- all other signs are good- feeds well, mouth not gaping water fine

What type of light are you using?
What is the PH?
What is the SG?

Water perameters may look fine but anenomes need almost perfect water. If its moving then there are only 2 reasons for this.. Water bad or poor light. Give an anenome these and it would never more.

light is 2 X 150w MH, SG is 1.024. PH 8.2 - its not moving as such - the foot stays put. its just retracting and expanding.

Hmm.. ok well i would not be overly concenred just yet. Remember that a nenny is 90% water so it might be flushing the water through its system for some reason. As long as it looks healthy and feeds then do not worry yourself for now.
