Righty now everything has moved over and all the lighting is sorted out I'm looking to get a bubble tip nem but am somewhat conflicted.

My LFS says he rarely gets cloned or captive bred nems only wild caught, now I've seen wild caught tend to perish but is this due to bad research and bad ownership or is it actually that wild BTA's don't do well?

Now has anyone got a BTA that is splitting that they would like to share ? :)

Anyone? Seffie I am sure that as mrs BTA you could offer some wisdom :)

Ps how do you tell if they are healthy in LFS, is it BTA's that's should be 'sticky'

The problem with wild ones is that they have been often mishandled in shipping or whilst being collected are damaged - but to me there is an ethical sting, if you will pardon the pun, should we really be taking wild bta out of the sea when their survival rate is so very poor. So, its a clone every time for me. I am currently looking for a nice big Rose, but I am happy to wait and wait for a clone that I can go and pick up myself, put in a bucket and transport like the crown juwels.

They often appear on the 'dark side', if you don't know what I mean Sorgan, send me a pm ;)

Mrs BTA
