Ok I came home late last night after several drinks, and hopped on aquabid... very dangerous!!!

I placed a bid on this gorgeous fish and won him for $5. I assume he was so cheap cuz of the red wash (this is considered red wash right?). But I still think he's a great catch! I think I'm going to name him Kirby after the guy my friend is having an affair with just to be annoying

Now I've gotta buy a couple more mini tanks for him and the 2 fish I'm getting from Synnir before I have them shipped.

Unless you want to breed or show bettas, the red isn't an issue at all. He's a stunning fellow.

Well i'm too much of a novice to even consider breeding. From reading the logs on here, it seems like it takes so much time and work... More than I can handle right now. As far as the color is concerned, I actually kind of like the pattern of the red and blue in this fish. Blue and Red are my 2 fav colors

Which of these should I pick? Any thoughts?

The AquaWave is 2.5 gallons and costs $24.99

The Marina is 1.7 gallons and costs $19.99

The MiniBow is 2.5 gallons and costs $26.99

The SpongeBob is 1.8 gallons and costs $24.99

Does anyone have experience with any of the above?

I kind of think that SpongeBob is the cutest as long as I don't have to keep that background or that spongebob decoration in the tank.


I already have 2 of the Marineland Explorers that are 2 gallons each but cost $29.99

Ok at $15 each i'm gonna get several of the 2 gallon tanks that look like tv's. Also, i'm getting free shipping from petsmart.com so that makes it even better! Should i get one of each color (red, blue, green) or all red? My 2 gallon explorers from Marineland all have red tops.
