I have a very poorly fitted pond (i failed miserably), but when I went over this morning, I saw loads and loads of little worm like things swimming around in the water... They are brown and move around like a bloodworm - but they ain't a bloodworm..

They seem to be some sort of fly larvae...

Can this be fed to tropical fish?

I wouldn't risk feeding them to tropical fish, I am unsure of exactly which pond creature they may be as there are hundreds of creepy crawlys that they could be. They are likely to carry some kind of disease and I should think if they are some kind of larve that they are predatory and won't hesitate to harm a fish, IMO its not worth the risk.

Was hoping you'd reply to this Ryan.

Appreciate your help.. Will just leave them then!

Best guess is mosquito larvae and I would do some serious draining or preventive measures before they mature into adults.

There isn't anything in the pond that they would cause damage to - i just put it there to try and attract a couple of frogs :)

I may be converting it into a bog garden anyway, as we will eventually be having a raised pond built for us.

Was this them? :X

nope.
they where brown and wriggling all over the place

yeah sounds like misquitos larva, it means u dont have enough water movment, get some common minnows (river minnows, creek minnows) and they will eat them up

The picture I provided is of Mosquito Larve, here is another, they do wriggler alot.

They will often inhabit newly set-up ponds where there are no other aquatic larve etc to keep their population down, still or stagnent waters are also favoured.
