Hi,

I am a newbie here...

I have a Biorb 60 with 3 goldfish. I've had it for about 4 months now. I test the water all the time at it seems like it should be.

I do a 30% water change and filter change ever 4-5 weeks.

There is always a brown slime that coats the inside fo the bowl. It seems harmless but it make the water look funny.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Scott

What type of goldfish are they, the first goldfish needs a 20gal tank, then 10gal for every other one added, that tank is way to small for goldfish, as they are big waste producers plus the filter will be no good, as you need a filter twice the size of he tank, i would see if you can rehome them, as you will never have water quality under control in that tank.
Plus as they get bigger they will get ammonia poisoning.

i bet it is brown algue just scrap it of

and your biorb will need upgrading as gold fish are dirty fish and the ammonia levals will rise and ammonia is very dangerous
