Writing today because we have a new 75 gallon tropical fish aquarium and there is brown algea or something, growning all over the stones and walls of the tank.
We used some of the gravel from a previous tank. Also, we used driftwood and a few plants from the other tank. We are very bothered by this not only because we don't know what it is and how to get rid of it but, this tank is so beautiful and we worked so hard on it. PLEASE HELP US!
Thank you,

Just about every tank I setup goes through this cycle... Eventually they will be replaced by the green kind, so I wouldn't worry about it.

If you absolutely need to remove it right now, you can add some otos, but this is assuming your tank is completely cycled, as otos are sensitive to water condition.

Personally, I like these algaes - more source for otos. I just move otos from tanks to tanks depending on the level of brown algae - they do a super job!

I for some reason have no algae and none seems to ever grow. -_-
