So right now i have to Sterbi Cory's and 2 bronze Cory's. our Sterbi are really pretty (but really expensive!!) we cannot afford to add more to make them a group of 6+ so we were eventually gonna return them to the LFS we got them and exchange them for some bronze cory's, cuz we paid 12 a peice for our sterbi and 5 a peice for the bronze. so that would up our numbers to 6 bronze corys. is that enough?? also noticeing i still have alot of left over food in the bottom of my tank with the corys we do have and 3 bamboo shrimp and 2 ghost shrimp can anyone give me any idea's for some more bottom type feeders that would help with the slight algae build up and extra food layin around.

also idea's on what to feed the bottom feeders would be amazing, we bought Wardleys Shrimp Pellets and they like it ok but they are so messy and dont get cleaned up, other ideas would be appreaciated.

6 is sufficient, it's the minimum. I would really get more like 8-10+ if I were you as in the wild they are in groups in the hundreds so they are best in groups of 8-10 And if you have lots of food lying around on the substrate, then why not just feed less, as there shouldn't be any leftover food. And using a faith for just the purpose of cleaning up a mess is not worth it IMO, as you'll have to feed certain vegetables, meaty foods, algae, algae disks, and shrimp pellets. Just to give the fish the proper diet, so basicly I would just feed less if I were you :good:
I hope everything goes well when you get your new fishies

The best advice I can give you is to take those Wardley's Shrimp Pellets and throw them right in the garbage can. They tend to leave a lot of residue in the gravel and I've seen this bubble up like it was fermenting. Look for Hikari sinking wafers or other brands of high quality food for your corys. It's also a good idea to give them some meaty food like live blackworms or frozen bloodworms.

+1
I used those Wardley shrimp pellets too, and they're just horrible.

What is your substrate? If you're going to keep cory, it's advisable to use sand, and you can use just Play Sand that you can pick up at Menard's or Home Depot. Where in Minnesota are you? I'm in Ely. And I've got lots and lots of bronze cory.

Also, I noticed in your signature that you're using carbon in your filter, which we don't advise doing unless you're trying to remove medication from the water after treatment.
