One of my Inle Lake Rasboras (thanks Wolf!) has a problem. I noticed a white bump on his nose and I thought it was cotton fungus. However, on closer inspection it looks like he's hit something at speed and broken his bottom jaw, with the bones sliding back on themselves so that he can't shut his mouth completely any more. It must be very recent because he was fine 12 hours ago when I went to work. I've added melafix as a wound remedy. Should I see if it heals, or euthanise immediately? the pics aren't brilliant, but do you guys think he has got a broken jaw? I'm hoping I'm wrong.....
sorry, there's a tail in the way here, but you can see the line of his bottom jaw
