this morning i was suprised to find thet my tank was only 18 degrees celcius. i had a look at my heater and it looks like one of the wires has blown i am getting a new heater tomorrow but what should i do untill then to keep it a but warmer, do you think that my fish will make it? it is a 39gal with:
6 neon tetras
4 guppies
4 zebra danios
4platys
1 bn pleco
1 female betta
3 albono cories

Yes they will do! My fish used to live for years without a heater.... but then again.... they wre my first fish and i never bothered looking after em

Raise room temp. to mid-70's or so. If not possible, maybe wrap the tank w/ thick blanket?
could also try floating say 2-liter bottles filled w/ hot water...

thanx for that, my dad suggested to wrap it in a blanket and i think i will

dad buoght me the new heater today, everyone is ok.
the lfs said that it was a cheap and nasty heater so i got a more expensive one with a 12 month warranty
