Broken fish tank need help ASAP!!!

Hi, just a few months ago I got a top fin 5-gallon aquarium for my pet betta fish. Today, I got a crack in the bottom and had to put my betta fish, otocinclus cat, two neon tetras, and two ghost shrimp in a 3.5-gallon tank. On Christmas, I am getting a 29-gallon fish tank. WIll my fish make it until then or should I buy another 5 gallon tank?

If your broken tank filter was cycled, then transfer the filter over to the 3.5 gallon and it should be fine till xmas.

Make sure aquariums have a 1/2 inch sheet of polystyrene foam under the base to help prevent uneven surfaces cracking the base.

Will my fish be fine in the 3.5 gallon while it cycles or should I buy some instant bacteria?

If you are transferring a cycled filter from the 5 gallon, it should pretty much instantly cycle.

I will be using a new filter designed for a 29-gallon tank.

When you get the 29 gallon, transfer the filter media from the small tank in additon to the new media. You could also add some bottled bacteria to the new filter.and tank.
