Hiya

Well was watching the fishies last night (as you do) and noticed that one of my danios was swimming at an angle....to cut a longish story short I think it's broken its side fin (yes I know, helpful technical language). It's still dashing around like mad, and eating, and chasing everything else, just it's one sided. What should I do? Just leave it and see how it gets on? It seems happy enough. I thought it might be dead this morning, but it isn't.

Any thoughts would be useful, as this has got me stumped.

When u say the fin looks broke, do u mean 'torn' or actually 'broke' ?

As long as he's swimming around and eating well he should be fine

Hi

I mean it's just broke!! It's too tiny to see if there are any tears, but he doesn't move it at all. Its like the non bone is broken if you see what I mean. I know that my danios are all crackers and he could have swum in to something, I just didn't realise it was possible for them to break things. He seems to be doing ok, but he's slowing up a bit now. Perhaps because he can't keep up with the others. Should I separate him? I'd rather not because he's not going to have any benefit apart from having less room that he can swim in.

I dunno, :/
Help is greatly appreciated.
