Uhm. Well I noticed that my filter was pumping out only a couple of bubbles, whereas it normally is alot more. We took it out, cleaned it how the instruction manual told us, and then put it back in. Mum then said she heard a grinding noise, so she turned it off at the wall and called the store. They said that th ey could ordder in another filter but it'd take like a week! Hoe long can fish survive without one? And should I be asking the store for a filter or something to keep it going until my replacement arrives?

(Sorry abo ut the bad typing in certain parts. I have a cast on my arm so it makes typing very difficult)

Thanks!

It most probarbly is the impellor, take it out and wash it under warm water, just the impellor, not the filter media.

How many/what fish have you got in, i wont like to leave fish more than a couple of hours without a filter, plus the affect on the good bacteria

I have 16 (17 including a platy fry) 6 platy's and 10 neon tetra's. Okay. Thanks.

Okay. Thanks. I'll try this and post back.

I tried it, and it's not working, at all now. Should I be asking the store for a replacement, like free, because the tank is fairly new.

They replaced the filter pump for me and now it's working fine ^^ Thanks for the help!
