today i bought a koralia 900 to try and help with an algae issue im having and when i tried to put the magnetic sucker on the red pivot ball it didnt want to sit in properly.
so i twisted it round a bit and you guessed it the red ball snapped off

i would have thought they were built a bit stronger than this as i didnt even give it much force either.

do you think i could return it or is it just tough?

Certainly worth trying to get this sorted at the shop, or if that fails, contacting Hydor directly...

I bought an Aqua Medic Nanoprop 5000 powerhead a couple of months back, which in theory is kept in the desired position by a ball socket and a threaded rubber vacuum seal. While having a test of how firm to tighten the screw to get a good vacuum against the tank glass, within minutes of opening, I managed to shear the screw thread without being heavy handed! Consequently I got in touch with the seller (Aquacadabra) and both they and Aqua Medic were brilliant at helping me out, with a replacement installation kit arriving in the post within a few working days.

i think ill try taking it back tomorrow, it was the last one though typically.....

ive also emailed hydor today so ill see what they say.

really weak/poor design in my eyes.
