Brittle Star Reproduction

Don't brittle/serpent stars reproduce aesexually? If so, what is needed to encourage this?

I got thousands of the tiny whie ones in my tank. they obviously breed and multiply in some manner but as for the larger types im afraid im not sure. Never heard of anyone actually breeding them either )

Hmmm, well it doesn't really matter if it did split and reproduce, they would both have enough food in my tank anyway. J/W

echinoderms do not bud like cnidarians do if thats what you are wondering, the only reproduction happening asexually in echinoderms is at the tip of a knife.
