Brittle Nose Plec Breeding

Can any breeders give me some pointers on what to look for and the habbits in the run up to spawning as ive just purchased a breeding trio thanks in advance

Im assuming you mean Bristlenose Plecs, if thats the case then my pair who have spawned and are spawning again bascially setup in a cave, the female lays the eggs, then she buggers off and the male looks after them until hatching at which point i remove them from the tank to a small trap and feed them daily on algae wafers and courgette.

they spawned 2 weeks prior to you picking them up
i rarely had both females spawn together but you will notice one female will be fatter when eg bound
i used to feed the courgette 3 times a week and tetra wafers and jmc catfish pellitsthey also loved frozen brime shrimp and the odd blood worm cube

give it a few weeks and get one of smithrc's caves and they will spawn in no time and will continue to spawn every 3-4 weeks make sure you feed them well

cos they in a new tank once you have one of them caves i would wait a week and then simulate the wet season by cold water changes and up there food supply this will set them off breeding
