I got myself 2 baby bristlenose plecos yesterday for my 3 foot tank.

They are both only about 1 inch long, and this morning they were lying side by side and spinning around.

Are they just playing? Or fighting?

They are too young too sex. If they turn out to be 2 males then will i need to remove one? Or will 2 males be okay in a 3 foot tank?

Cheers

If they are both males you will likely need to remove one - they can get pretty territorial - that said sometimes they get along fine. Give them loads of caves and wood and see how thet go. It'll be a while yet before you can sex them anyway.

Okay thanks,

My water Parameters are -

PH - 6.5
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate 20ppm

They seem to follow each other about quite alot. I thought that if they were both males then they would be at separate ends of the tank.

But if they do start getting territorial then removing one is not a problem.
