I love my BNs (Standard & Albino) and am setting them up in their own home, I'm now trying to find out about any other varieties and where in the UK to get hold of them, any ideas ??? :fish:

There are many type of BN's. Ask you LFS for a list of BN's available to order, and research ones that are in your price range (some are quite highly prices). Most LFS are prepaired to order fish, if a customer wants them. they may want a diposit though, as they are hard to sell on should you change your mind after the order has been placed.

Thanks, will have a word withthe LFS think I want the Starlight BN's so I'm hoping they will be able to find me some.

Personally, I'm going to do some Starlight/White Seam (L-183) in the future but they're still the most common Bristlenose after the common/albino variety as far as I know. Still, I don't see them for sale often. Oh. and make sure your supplier know which one you want. There is also the L-182 Starlight that grows to twice the size of the L-183.

edit: Fixing typo on L-182

I want some of the white seams but how do I make sure that is the 183 version I order if 183 covers all varieties? Am also liking the look of the long fins too.

From the PlanetCatfish description:

It's the only species with one hard and nine soft dorsal rays (I,9)

In other words, it will have ten rays but only one is hard, presumably the first one.

Hiya,

Funnily enough I was speaking to them last night, apparently I need to talk to Russell later this week...
