ive had these 2 since they were tiny just wonder as neither of them have bristles yet are they both female or is it still to early to tell - sorry pics not very good so you problay wont be able to tell me

If they're over 2-3", it's probably safe to assume they're female, but some males are known to hang on to their bristles til the last minute lol.

Ps. They're gorgeous btw, really lovely :)
 
Bit small to tell by the looks of things at the mo, may have to wait a while til they grow, they only look an inch or so is that right?
 
Sorry to hijack this thread but in the name of getting dry and warm I demand it is flown to Bermuda (or anywhere warmer,drier, sunnier than South Wales ;) ) - do what I say and you will all go free when we arrive, don't do what I say and I'll feed you to my danio's.

How big do bristlenose plec's grow ? (Asking so I can work out the minimum size tank to keep them in - and do they get along with dwarf gouarimi's)

Arimus - BNs grow to about 6" on average and they will be fine with Dwarf Gouramis. Make sure you have plenty of hiding places, bogwood and decent filtration. :good:
