Bristlenose Plecs

ive had these 2 since they were tiny just wonder as neither of them have bristles yet are they both female or is it still to early to tell - sorry pics not very good so you problay wont be able to tell me

If they're over 2-3", it's probably safe to assume they're female, but some males are known to hang on to their bristles til the last minute lol.

Ps. They're gorgeous btw, really lovely

Bit small to tell by the looks of things at the mo, may have to wait a while til they grow, they only look an inch or so is that right?

Sorry to hijack this thread but in the name of getting dry and warm I demand it is flown to Bermuda (or anywhere warmer,drier, sunnier than South Wales ) - do what I say and you will all go free when we arrive, don't do what I say and I'll feed you to my danio's.

How big do bristlenose plec's grow ? (Asking so I can work out the minimum size tank to keep them in - and do they get along with dwarf gouarimi's)

Arimus - BNs grow to about 6" on average and they will be fine with Dwarf Gouramis. Make sure you have plenty of hiding places, bogwood and decent filtration.
