Hi folks, I just bought a new Bristlnose Plec. today, about 3 - 4 inches, yellow with red eyes and tons of Bristles, he's very shy an hides in a rock pile in the corner of the tank, hope he overcomes this over time and explores more, will try get some pics up soon, if he ever comes out of his cave..... might call him "custard" :good:

Sounds like an albino BN to me so yeah custard might be a good name for him. Pics would be good i've never really seen an albino BN properly.

I just came back into the room and he was in the corner near the filter intake, I leaned over to have a nosey and he fled , knocking shells everywhere and sand all ver the place, maybe should call him wrecker.... :good:

lol, some bigger plecos are quite clumsy, but when they are making a speedy retreat they will knock things around.

i found having sand in a tank with plecos is not the best idea. when they go along the bottom at speed they kick it all up and the water always looks cloudy/dusty, its the same when they are feeding. ive abandoned the sand and i now use a fine gravel.
