Bristlenose Plec

please look at my signature for my tank stocking.......would it be possible to also have a bristlenose without problems

To be honest you need at least 2 more corys and 4 more black neons rather than adding a bristlenose.

Personally I feel 60l is a bit small for BN's anyway (they can reach 5-6" though are often smaller) although I'm sure others will say it is fine.

If you did add one you'd need to increase filtration as like most plecs they produce a lot of waste.

i did have about 5 corys, but 3 died, and i also had 5 black neon tetras but 4 died all due to the Ich which never seemd to go!

the fish ive got now ive had for the past few months with no problems, and id rather get something a bit different rather than adding to my stock, i know that sounds nasty of me

I'd suggest rehoming the last neon and 2 cories then as they are so much happier in groups. You could get away with 2 or 3 different cories like pandas perhaps?

who would want a 79p black neon tetra??

i just really want a plec and i couldnt get rid of my corys as ive had these 2 since owning my tank

i use a 60 litre to breed my bns, but they m and female are only 2 inches long each

thanks for the offer beccimac but im from merseyside so quite a distance..... i'll just buy a BN plec from LFS....... and see how i get on, it starts to get a bit big i know someone who will take it off my hands with a bigger tank

hi bristlenose are good to keep the tank clean i wld have one in my tank any day over any fish but thats me as i like my bristlenose !!
